Donald Steiner Sr., a firefighter with the Lebanon Fire Department, walks away from a 1982 Seagrave fire engine owned by the Goodwill Fire Company after starting it up on Wednesday April 29, 2015. The City of Lebanon is selling its 1982 Seagrave Pumper engine. The fire truck was originally owned by the Goodwill Fire Engine Hose No. 5 and was purchased by the city in 2010 when the Goodwill bought a replacement. The Seagrave is still in working order but is rarely used, Fire Commissioner Duane Trautman told Lebanon City Council last week. A decision to sell it was made after the Perseverance, Liberty, and Union fire companies announced they were partnering with the city to purchase two new trucks this year. Handling the sale will be Fire Line Equipment of Lititz, a used fire equipment company with contacts nationwide, Trautman said. The company will be paid a 5 percent commission on the sale. No opening bid price was announced. Jeremy Long -- Lebanon Daily News
